Frequently asked questions
Is CCL Mate an official NAATI product?
No. CCL Mate is an independent practice app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to NAATI. It prepares you for the CCL test, and your official result comes only from NAATI.
Which languages are available?
Nepali, Hindi, Mandarin, Punjabi, Urdu, Arabic, Vietnamese, Filipino, Bengali and Tamil, each with English. You choose your language when you set up the app, and the app is then set up for that language.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. After your language is downloaded, flashcards, games, sentence practice and mock tests all work offline. AI marking of mock tests needs an internet connection.
How is my mock test scored?
AI compares each of your answers with the original and a professional model answer, looks for omissions, distortions and additions, and estimates a score out of 90 using the CCL pass standard. It is a practice estimate, not an official NAATI result.
When can I download it, and how much will it cost?
CCL Mate is coming soon to Google Play, with iPhone to follow. Pricing will be announced at launch. Join the early-access list below and we will tell you first.
What happens to my voice recordings?
Practice recordings stay on your phone. For AI marking, a mock-test answer is sent securely for marking and is not kept afterwards. Read the details in our privacy policy.
